
Lance, an athletic trainer, for OrthoGeorgia, the center for comprehensive orthopaedic care in the Heart of Georgia, is helping the Irwin County Indians today as they prep for the championship game tonight at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta.

Good afternoon, Indian Nation,
Our Indians have done it once again with a big win Friday night! They will be traveling to Atlanta on Thursday, December 9, 2021, to play at 8:00 p.m. in the GHSA Football A Public Championship game. We will have an early release day Thursday, December 9, 2021, for all students and staff.
Friday, December 10, 2021, will be a virtual day for all students and staff. Each school will communicate with parents and students regarding class work and expectations for virtual instruction. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
All students will be served lunch early on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
Additional details will be forthcoming regarding early release times for Thursday, December 9th.

National Special Education Day is celebrated every year on December 2! This day commemorates the anniversary of our nation’s first federal special education law, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, signed by President Ford on December 2, 1975.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act made public education available to all eligible children with disabilities across the nation and ensured special education and related services were provided for those children.

The Irwin County Indians will play the Wilcox County Patriots in the 4th round of the GHSA Football playoffs this Friday, December 3, 2021. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Come out and cheer on our Indians!!!! Good luck to the players and coaches!


Indian Nation Vex Tournament
Tipping Point will be the competition this year. The tournament will be held in the high school lunchroom this Saturday, December 4, 2021. The agenda is included with this post. There is no charge for spectators. There will be 17 robots competing from 9 different schools. Two schools from Atlanta are making the trip down to compete. The 2 winning robots will advance to the State Tournament held in Locust Grove. Please come out and support our students competing in the tournament! GO INDIANS!!!


ABAC Upward Bound Program
Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.

Cookie dough can be picked up today, November 29th, from 8:30-6:00. Please go to the front office to pick the cookie dough up. If a different time is needed, please set up an appointment with your child’s teacher to pick it up! For students who just have one box, the cookie dough can be sent home with the student after today with the parent's permission. Parents will be notified that the cookie dough is coming home with their child to make sure parents check for it when the student gets home!! Thank you for supporting ICES!!!
