For girls wanting to compete in Miss Red and Black, Walmart has these Valentines Card boxes that would be perfect to use for decorating your people’s choice box!! Applications to compete are now in the front office, and in Ms. Tucker’s and Mrs. C Wynn’s room!

ICMS will be sending letters home tomorrow regarding scoliosis screening information. If you do not want your child screened, you must return the opt out form to your child's homeroom teacher.

The Nathaniel Abney DAR Chapter, Fitzgerald presented ICHS History Teacher, Mrs. Scarlet Alberson, the Community Classroom. This non-profit group of ladies promote history preservation, education, and patriotism with their "Community Classroom Project." Mrs. Scarlet Alberson was presented a certificate and a check to purchase teaching tools by DAR Members: Melissa Humphries and Mary Jane Espinosa, and Community Classroom Chair Dianne Brown. ICHS Principal Jared Luke thanked the DAR Ladies for their generosity to Mrs. Scarlet Alberson and her U.S. History and World History Classes.

Unfortunately, there have been some issues concerning the afternoon traffic patterns at ICES. Beginning this Monday, 1/23/2023, K, 1st, 5th, and all siblings will be picked up from the front just like we did prior to the change. Pre-K without siblings will still leave from the back of the building. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade without siblings will leave from the bus port after the buses leave.
PARENTS DO NOT BLOCK OR PARK IN THE ROADWAY IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL PRIOR TO 2:40 AS THIS CAUSES A SAFETY ISSUE.

The school system's phones are down at the board office and the schools. Parents can email icboehelp@irwin.k12.ga.us with their issue, child's name, and grade level. For the elementary school, the student's name, the student's teacher's name, and grade level need to be provided.

Irwin County Schools have free at home COVID tests available for students, staff and their families. If you are interested in picking up a free at home covid test, contact your school nurse. The nurses will not perform the test, but will provide one to you for at home use.
