A Message From the Superintendent

The Coastal Plains RESA District is comprised of 12 counties. The RESA district scored an average of 70.8 under the state average of 75.9. Irwin County scored a 75.5 average just below the state and scored 3rd highest in the RESA district. Irwin County High School beat the state average of 77 with a score of 77.9 and is 2nd highest in our RESA district. Irwin County Middle School scored a 65.6 under the state average, but made improvements in content mastery and readiness components. Irwin County Elementary School scored above the state average of 77.1 with a score of 79.4 which placed the elementary school 4th highest in the RESA district out of 40 plus schools.

On behalf of Irwin County Schools, I would like to say thank you to all of our personnel for their continued hard work with improving the educational experience of our students.

MAKE THE CALL AND STOP VIOLENCE IN YOUR SCHOOL

The 1-877-SAY-STOP toll-free hotline was created by the Georgia Department of Education. Students can anonymously report anyone who has a weapon, has threatened to bring a weapon to school, or has violated any other school safety rules. The hotline hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. all calls will be forwarded to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Callers will not be asked to reveal their identities. Make the call; you can make a difference!
